DEANNA ELYSE STRZEMPEK
I’m Deanna, a professional makeup artist based in Boston with 17 years of experience in beauty, special events, editorial, bridal, and performance makeup.
My love for makeup actually began with dance. What started as creating quick stage looks for classmates grew into proms, weddings, photoshoots, and eventually a full career in beauty. I trained in special effects at the College of Makeup Art and Design in Toronto before spending five years at MAC Cosmetics and ultimately launching my own business.
My background as a dancer has shaped the way I approach makeup. I understand how movement, lighting, photography, and emotion can completely change the way makeup looks and wears. I specialize in polished, effortless glam designed to look beautiful in person, translate flawlessly on camera, and hold up through whatever the day brings.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with brides, performers, celebrities, publications, and clients attending some pretty incredible events. Whether I’m creating soft, refined beauty or something a little bolder, my goal is always the same: you should still look like you, just elevated.
I have my own private studio in Peabody, Massachusetts, where I offer professional makeup applications, custom spray tans, and private makeup lessons. My studio allows me to work one-on-one with clients in a relaxed, personalized setting, whether you’re getting ready for a special event, learning how to perfect your own makeup routine, or simply want to feel amazing for a night out.
For weddings, I’ve partnered with Lady Luxe Beauty, where I serve as Lead Makeup Artist. All of my wedding-related inquiries and bookings are coordinated through Lady Luxe, allowing brides to have a seamless beauty experience while I focus on what I love most, creating beautiful makeup.
I’m based in New England and available for travel throughout the U.S. and internationally for special events, editorial work, weddings, productions, and private clients.
When I’m not behind the brush, you’ll probably find me in cozy clothes, cuddling puppies, watching TV or movies, reading fantasy books, doing Pilates, cooking, or obsessing over my latest beauty find. I’m a huge family and friends person; my husband is my favorite human, and I will happily discuss pop culture, good food, ice cream, or a glass of Barolo at basically any time.
